A bedroom is a private abode away from the hustle and bustle. It should have a soothing ambiance to make you relax completely without any disturbance. Now, this asks for a planned modern bedroom design .

There are many things to consider before planning your bedroom . Here are some important factors to be considered. The foremost thing is the wall color. Colors along and lighting play an important role in designing. Small rooms should go with light shades like light pink, white cream etc with a bright lighting arrangement for a spacious feel. Bigger rooms, however, can experiment with dark shades for an intimate feel. The layout of the room is also an important factor. You  should plan in advance the placement of furniture, taking care of even the smallest of the details including placement of TV unit, wardrobe, nightstands etc. The ideal location of the bed is at the center of the room. Walk around Space also matters.  You should keep in mind that an over-furnished room can make space look suffocated and overcrowded. So It should also have proper space for storage to avoid clutter in the room.

When it comes to decoration, most of the people focus more on the other rooms rather than the bedroom. The bedroom also needs proper decoration as we spend most of our time there. You can decorate it according to your taste but it should create a cozy environment. You can add an artwork over the headboard, place a designer rug, hang a stunning lampshade on the ceiling with mild lighting, put up some family photographs or prints on the wall etc.
