Managing Modular Kitchen Chaos


Indian kitchen are famous for its delicious, spicy and delicious cuisines. For catering healthy and hygienic food, one should have a systematic and well organized kitchen. In this modern era, there are maximum number of people who owning a modular kitchen in their apartment. There are many complications faced by the Indians in terms of their modular kitchen due to number of reasons. Here are some common hassles and solutions by that you can take a hint for your kitchen.

Excess of appliances – Everyone love gifts and very few of them who denies to accept it. On the other hand many people are fond of buying new appliances whether they are useful or not. In that case you stuff your kitchen with unnecessary equipment and have to face space problems and unorganized kitchen. It makes you work uncomfortable. So in this situation you have to declutter your kitchen appliances. For example one has mixer, juicer mixer, chopper, food processor, blender, grinder, wet grinder etc. however there is no need of all that stuff. These types of appliances stuff your counter top and you have to face lack of space. So try to avoid keeping such items.

Cabinets’ management – If you don’t have a well maintained cabinets and drawers, so working in kitchen make it quite uneasy.  Indian kitchen is full of spices, and we all have various types of spices (garam masala, cumin seeds, bay leaves, cardamom, red chili powder, turmeric, etc.) in our kitchen cabinets. They should be well organized according to the usage and requirement. Apart from spices, all the items in your kitchen cabinets should be kept in a perfect manner so you can work easily, quickly without any hassle.
Customization – A kitchen becomes an ideal kitchen when it is well planned, organized, use of proper space, placement of stuff according to the taste, requirement, style etc. The benefits of modular kitchen are that they come with self customization so it’s your duty to customize it perfectly according to your requirement, cooking style and space of course. You can manage your racks, cabinets, pullouts, trays etc. by your own according to your requirement.
Maintenance – The biggest and most common problem faced by number of users of modular kitchen is cockroaches. Due to moisture and darkness they lay their eggs in the corners of drawers, cabinets etc. So it becomes quite necessary to do pest control in couple of months and keep your kitchen clean always in terms of hygiene. The air and sunlight is also plays a vital role for hygiene in kitchen. If you allow some air and natural light in your kitchen so there is less chance of having cockroaches in your kitchen.
Countertop – For easy access to your items while cooking, the counter top should be clear and well maintained. There should be also open shelves for regular and instant access to your products. It allows you to work quickly and easily. For more easy access to your kitchen supplies, you can add a wall mounted spice rack over the counter top.

Electrical points – Many people face problems related to the electronic plug-ins. All kitchen electronic appliances needs proper and well length connection setting but somehow most of the people forget to manage the electric points at an ideal distance so they have to face the problem in working in their kitchen especially with their appliances.
Color contrast- modular kitchen is incomplete without the proper contrasting of the shades. Your kitchen furniture and cabinets color should contrast properly with the interiors. Most of the people apply dark shades without worrying about the space they have. As darker shades always makes you feel compact and cozy where as the lighter shade always make you feel spacious and airy. So the color is one of the most important parts in every kitchen. Beautifully painted kitchen allows the homemaker to work fast, smoothly and comfortably.

Physical activity – There are also common problems faced by many people in terms of physical standards. Like mostly female works in kitchen so the placement of utensils and appliance should be kept according to their reach. On the other hand all the drawers in the kitchen should be channelized as it makes easy access their stuffs without any physical effort. With energy and time saving, it also make so much convenient for regular use.
